On Saturday, Heather Cotton will join a team of 20 other paddlers to kayak 200 miles of the Neuse River from the state capital city Raleigh to the town of Oriental, which is also a designated blueways section of the Mountains to the Sea Trail.
She’s worked to create new trails and pathways in Marion and McDowell County. Now, Heather Cotton is hiking, biking and paddling across North Carolina through the Mountains to the Sea Trail.
